I am writing this post so that you people will be protected from unwanted hacks of your account on chat.

The other day when I was chatting with manoj, he sent me some chat file. Though I was using pidgin and he Google Talk. GT said it was not possible to transfer file. But still the initiation process always takes place before transfer fails. When this initiation process takes place, a port is opened on both the machines for the file transfer. Manoj somehow found that port and hacked my account!

So friends, its my sincere request to all of you to not to have file transfers within chat. Its better with web-sharing. There are many sites which allow file sharing for no cost. Just Google and find out. Manoj is a very good trustful friend of mine but still he hacked just for fun. Its OK with such friends, but if someone with a bad intention does this, it wouldn't be favoring us and if the person doing this gets any of your private details, it would be a BIG BIG harm to you.
