Today i am posting some general tips applicable to all mobile phones..

1. Always delete unwanted contacts and old messages as it will help you in quick navigation.

2. It is recommended to take back up of contacts/messages/Calendar entries once in a month- to safeguard against data loss.

3. Press *#06# to check the International Mobile Equipment Identity (IMEI Number). This number is unique to each handset and is helpful in case of thefts, or for device-specific software.

4. Keep your phone shielded from dust and liquids, as these are the two main reasons for hardware problems in the handsets.

5. If you want a case, make sure you get a case designed for the phone by the manufacturer itself. Cheap cases could damage the device.

6. To keep your screen protected, get a screen protector installed as soon as you buy the phone.

7. Programs that run constantly in the background should be installed in the phone memory to improve speed and stability. And Programs that only run when you use them (like games, Google Maps etc) are better off stored on the memory card to increase the available RAM on the phone.

8. If you find yourself out of coverage area, dial 112 to make your mobile search any existing network that can be found and connected. 112 is the worldwide emergency number, it can be dialed even if the keypad is locked.

9. 911 can also be dialed when the keypad is locked. If you dial 911 and your service provider has set a switching service, the call will be directed to the local emergency numbers. You can test it to be sure.

10. The way you hold your phone can lead to poor reception and dropped calls. Try and keep your fingers off the phone's antenna, which is usually located on the back, near the top of the phone.
