Installing Windows 7 on netbooks
Printer-friendly version
Netbook have small specs. So most of us might think - because the kernel code is same in Windows Vista and Windows 7, Windows 7 may NOT work on a netbook.
But it does. It works better than Vista. Microsoft popped up in 2008 at the developer conference that Windows 7 should run on such small systems, and they have succeeded.
At present these small netbooks are usually pre-installed with Windows XP (M$ withdrew support for which) or Windows Vista (the resource hungry thing).
Windows Vista does not give satisfactory computing experience on low-end machines like netbooks.
