This article is for those unlucky users who cannot update their PS3 system because it is not connected to the internet. All you need is a computer, a storage device like a usb drive and a working internet connection on your computer.

Make sure that the storage device has at least 160 - 180 MB of free space. Now create a folder on the usb device or storage media named "PS3". Within the PS3 folder create another folder named "UPDATE".
